OUr City

WE Love our New Orleans. She is one of a kind.

Today New Orleans boasts its individuality as the birthplace of Jazz, Cajun culture & cuisine, and the festival of Mardi Gras in America. Saturated in 300 years of culture, history and commerce, it is unlike anywhere else in the United States, and for that matter, the world!

It's sometimes referred to as the "Northern Most Caribbean Island", having adopted the pace of island life from centuries of African slave and sugarcane trade, the city we love is the “Big Easy” of port life. But the flavor of our city extends from its 300 year French influence, Catholic heritage, and the bohemian culture that tends to mix just about everything it can into a gumbo of “spirituality”.

With all of these factors our church family lives, works and plays in this standalone among the South!

People in our multiethnic congregation live in the Greater New New Orleans areas from Harahan to Metairie to Marrero, to within the metro limits in Algiers, Algiers Point, Garden District and Gentilly. We value our mix of people, from local to the transplants, because they reflect the culture of our city - diverse and vibrant her unity.

When you live in a city that has been labeled "The City That Care Forgot", you realize that community, family, and healthy people are invaluable to life. We have found that in our people. We love and sacrifice knowing, life in the city comes with its trials. But we stay and live on because Jesus is real, and the love we have been given in Him, lives among our people - and that is good for the Joy of All People around us!
